Croatian Retriever Club Show - 16 May 2009 -

Jazzmeen, Wellington and myself traveled to Croatia to hang out with the Stonedale gang. Unfortuantely most of our girls were in season and we could not have a good time all together. Oh well, the Stonedale-1stClass family reunion will be postponed to September!

Austrian Retriever Club Show - 1 May 2009 -
First time in Austria!
Wellington was EXC shortlisted in a strong open class under breed specialist J. Crosbie (Garbank-Lislone), Madison was second in a very strong junior class under breed specialist K. Crosbie (Garbank-Lislone).

International Show Livorno, Italy - 26 Apr 2009
The weather was horrible, pouring rain and cold temperatures, but we had a great time! Thank you to all the friends and family members that came out in the rain just to see us.
Wellington was EXC in open under Mrs. D. Getzinger: " 3 &1/2 years old dog of very good type. Good masculine head, soft eye with exc pigment, exc neck, topline and tail set. Very well angulated in ear. Upper arm a bit short. Shows well, good mover."
Madison was second in her class under the same judge: " 15 months bitch of exc type, lovely head and feminine expression. Exc neck, level topline and good tail set. Very well angulated front and rear, good forechest. A bit long in loin. Moves well"

Both Wellington and Madison were excellent under Mr. Godefroy (Fenwood).
This is Wellington's critique:
"Good head and eye, excellent pigmentation. Good neck, correct front angles, good bones, tight feet, excellent ribs, level topline, good stifles. Moves correctly front and rear."
This is Madison's critique:
"Nice head, good pigment, dark eye, good neck, correct front and rear angulation, straight bones, level topline, excellent stifles. Moves correctly front and rear"

Wellington was shortlisted among the last 6 dogs (strong open class of 18 dogs), unfortunately he decided that enough was enough and he went on strike :-(
This is what Mrs. Angrell (S- Festival) had to say about him:
"Nice dog of excellent type, masculine head, well made in front, excellent forechest. Well bodied, strong loin, good hindquarters, good bones and feet, moves well."
On the same day Madison was EXC in young class under Mr. Migliarini (I)
International Show Reggio Emilia, Italy - 14 Mar 2009
Madison was EXC in her class under Mrs. T. Angrell (S).
This is the critique: " Feminine bitch of very good type, a bit narrow head with big eyes. Well made in front, lovely neck, strong topline. Need to mature in body. A bit long in loin. Good hindquarters. Moves well. Just needs a bit more time.
On the same day Wellington was EXC under Mr. Migliarini (I)
International Show Gonzaga -MN- Italy , 1 March 2009
After being away from the show rings for over 5months, Wellington performed well at his first European show and was shortlisted in a crowded open class.
This is what Mr. Doulos (GR) wrote in his critique:
" 3 years old, in type with masculine expression. Excellent head and muzzle proportion, ears and dark eyes. Very good reach of neck on super level topline. Good lenght of forearm, well set shoulders, very well angulated. Good feet. Sound movement with typical tail carriage. Excellent."
This was the show debut for our little Madison and she did great. She was really born to the trade!
Madison was 4the exc in her class (youngster). This isi what Mr. Doulos (GR) wrote about her:
"One year old, in type with feminine expression. Excellent front and rear angulation, good chest, good neck and level topline. Very shiny coat and very fit for her age. Very elegant mover.Excellent."
What a weekend!
11-12 October 2008 - UKC Cluster Show

Wellington ended his tour in the US with a bang: 3 x WD, 3 x BOB, 1 BOS, 1 BIG, 1 x 3rd place in group.

Wellington was entered at the EnglishTea show (open only to Golden Retrievers with an English background) and this is what Mrs. W. Andrews (Catcombe) had to say about him:
“Very lovely type, beautifully balanced. Super head and expression, well placed shoulders, leveled top line, tail well set on, very good front and back angulations, strong boned and tight feet. Very elegant mover.”
